Creating a Value Proposition for your Business

One of the exercises I love doing and find it extremely valuable for business owners at our Bootcamp seminars is break-out sessions for writing Value Propositions. I first explain the components to a value proposition and how this will serve as the core content for any advertisement, promotional piece or primary website message…helping to position your company for the benefit of your customer, the problem you solve for them and why you among a sea of competitors. With each business owners first draft, I then have them present it to other owners in groups. The purpose is to get face-to-face feedback and see how closely the their value proposition goal intent is being received by others in the group.

Because this is so vital to any business, it’s critical to get this right. Make it engaging to motivate the behavior and action we seek.
